Introducing Romeo and Juliet

In Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters are part of  different families that are enmity for many years. Romeo, son of the Montague family, is about 16 years old. He is a handsome, strong, and intelligent young man. Romeo is an extremely passionate character that will follow his dreams and at the end he will succeed and achieve what he worked for. Romeo is part of a violent vendetta between his family and the Capulets, but he himself is not interested in violence and he doesn't want to be part of this war. Rather, he is the  kind of character who wants to be free from everything that is around him, and  is more about love and peace between the two families. In the beginning of the story, before meeting Juliet at the party, Romeo is in love with a woman named Rosalind, who is Juliet's cousin. At the party, from the first look he falls in love with Juliet and instantly forgets about Rosalin. I blame and respect Romeo at the same time. I blame him because of what he did to both families by showing up at the party and geting Juliet to fall in love with  him. I respect him because of the second chance to make a choice that he gave to Juliet, between him and Paric.
Juliet, on the other hand, is an opposite character to the Romeo. She is the 13 year old daughter of Capulet family. Though e very young, she is already thinking about love and marriage. She grows up quickly and her parents Capulet and Lady Capulet make a life choice  for her in  picking her a husband. Juliet is about to get married to Paris; the problem is that she is 20 years younger than her future husband and she wants to have the free right to choose who she will marry. At the party that her dad throws  for her and Paris, she meets  Romeo. A first, she is  too shy  to talk to him, but eventually understands  that she is in love with him. Juliet is a girl from an aristocratic family, and she has no freedom. Romeo is trying everything just to see her; he has to move around the city, climb over walls in the middle of the night, or get into fights just to see her. Juliet shows how strong and brave she is and she gets into many fights with her best friend and cousin because of Romeo. Juliet is trying as hard as Romeo to be together she makes her nurse believe that she loves Romeo and wants to be with him forever. I respect Julieta for being brave and strong at the age of 13, and showing everybody that love is stronger than anything else.

I can’t choose who I liked better as a character, Romeo or Juliet, but if I had to I would say Juliet just because of how hard she worked to be with Romeo. Both Romeo and Juliet are really strong and confident in everything that they do, which  shows us the audience that true love exists. But in the end of the story everything is possible, happy ending or unsatisfying ending. This play ends with the worst ending there can possibly be, from hard work and struggle the play ended with no one getting what they wanted.
