Romeo & Juliet Act 1 notes
From reading the first Act of Romeo & Juliet I understude why people always tell me that this specific story is really hard to read and understand because many words are really difficult to understand, because of vocabulary that they used at that generation. From my understanding act number one talks about how both families are alike but still hate each other. Their kids love each other and the only thing that destroys their future together is their families enmity. Romeo's and Julieta's plans didn't work but they were so close. Their families  kill each others people for nothing, just because of their past. But Romeo and Juliet will forever love each other and nothing can break their connection. Only their children death brought two families together. The point of first act is to introduce the the story, basically it's a small introduction helps reader to get the point of this story.

Julieta- 13 years old girl, rich and strong family enmity with Romeo's family, involve with Romeo.
Romeo- 14 years old boy, big and strong family enmity with Julieta's family , in love with Juliet.


Renaissance - Elizabethan English - Poetic verse.

  • Not everyone could read what he wrote because many people were't educated.
  • 5 beats -2 syllables syllables parts of the words - 10 syllables 
  • pattern = unstressed-stress/ stressed 
Romeo & Julieta Act 1 nots part two. 
Act starts with the fight between Capulet family and Montague kinsman. From their conversation it's hard for me to understand the meaning of the words because the language that they are using is from 16 centuries. What I understood from their conversation is how Paris expressing his feelings about Julieta. Abram and Sampson are having an argument about Abram making a disrespectful move by biting his thumb at Sampson. They get in to the fight, then two of the best kinsmen Tybalt and Montague and the fight begins. The fight stops when two families separate both kinsman and starting the discussion about their families past and enmity between two families. Julieta's father starts talking about the event that he made for Juliet and Paris to celebrate their upcoming marriage. He is talking about the people that he will invite, and ask Montague if they would like to come they saying yes. What happened at the party is the begging of Romeo and Julieta's roman.
Scent 2 in Act one talks about how Romeo meet Julieta and got in love with her.

Romeo and Juliet Act #1 Notes Part #2
Rome and his friend from his family side Benvolio are talking about Romeo’s feelings to Julieta. Rome tells Benvolio how beautiful she is, and expresses his feelings. He doesn't say her name to Benvolio, because he knows that she is  Capulet's daughter. When Romeo tells Benvolio who she is Benvolio says “ Forget of thinking of her “

Scent 2 in Act one talks about how Romeo meet Julieta and got in love with her.

The name of the play is “The Caucasian Chalk Circle” by Bertolt Brecht written in 1944 while he was living in America. Interesting fact about the performance is that it was initially made for Broadway, but the play didn’t go that far so students started presenting it in their schools and colleges. The play was initially translated by Eric Bentley. This play is based on the aftermath of WWII, in which the “villagers” are complaining on who will control the valley . This play focuses on an act of true love and courage performed by a servant girl named Grusha Vachnadze and how she is judged by society regarding to her choices. Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. However, the people in her village don’t think it's the right idea. Chapter 7 : This chapter starts with prayers that Desiree send to Gods. "Caroline's Wedding"

The story that includes many characters and their struggle throughout the Story. "Caroline's Wedding" contains 3 main characters; the narrator Grace, older sister Caroline, and their mother Hermine. Each character has her own obstacle to get through.  The story begins with Grace receiving good news from the embassy, saying that she received U.S citizenship. She immediately called her mother and sister and shared the good news. Her mother told her immediately to make an appointment at the embassy and get her documents and her passport so that she can leave the country as soon as possible.  However, their family always had an issue with their paper works and documents.    On behave of the paper works and preparation to leave her home to porsue her future life and career, she has to stened between her mother and sisire becausethe get into fights/disagreements.
