Adaptation experience

From the beginning of this year I was really excited to participate in this class and progress each and every day. Romeo and Juliet was our biggest project, we were working on it through the entire semester. We participated in many activities that are related to this play, our class went to see the play, we read the play, we wrote a lot of blogs about the play and many more. The great thing about this class and projects that do, is they’re not only informative but at the same time they’re interesting. I have never whatch or read Romeo & Julieta until this school year, and in fack I didn’t only learn about the play I improved my writing and communication skills. The last project that we were doing on in the past two weeks was about adapting one of the scene from Romeo & Julieta into our own story with different characters, scenes, actions and tools, and in the end we filed the the acts that we created. The adaptation seen that I chose was the seen when Tybalt killed Mercutio. Fun fact about the decision that I made while working on the idea was that the adoption of this seen is comedic while in the real play this seen is one of the most dramatic scenes. This is a group project so it is difficult to talk about personal achievements or to give credit to yourself because whole group worked hard to make it comedic and interesting for audience to enjoy . What I did for the team is I came up with the idea of the seen that we are adopting, costumes and characters. All of us added something to what I started and we made it funny and we made it better from where it was at the beginning. The main idea of our project was to create something different something that other students won't do and something creative that people will laugh about. This project helped me to develop much needed cooperation skill. I learned that teamwork is not about you and your teammates separating the work, teamwork is about creating something that all of you worked on. Me and my teammates develop that skill, and improved our project by working together. From this project I learned many thing working in a team as much as the concept of Romeo & Julieta. By adapting this seen I understood the work of Shakespeare’s I got to know the feeling when you create something that will represent you and your hard work.
