Adaptation Project Romeo and Julieta

Setting :The scene that i'm going to adapt is the scene where Tybalt kills Marcuctio. Everything starts with Mercitio and his gang spending good time " Playing video games " relaxing on the little island that belongs to Montague family. The reason they own this island is because it's the only place where Capulets can't bother them. This Island was constructed only for relaxation and family meetings. But the reason Mercurio get's killed is because Tybalt saw Romeo and Mercurio at the party that Capulet gave in the name of Juliet's and Paris's marriage, and Capulet was the one who stopped the beginning of the disaster that Tybalt was about to start. Tybal heard Romeo and Mercurio talking about their traditional family meeting on the island, where he came up with a idea to finish what he wanted at the party. As I said no one knew about island except Montague's. Tybalt found out the location of the island by checking Mercutios Snapchat story. Meanwhile Rome and Julieta were in process of marriage, Tybalt was making a plan of how he will attack island and kill Romeo. Tybalt would drive to the island on the little boat and kill Mercurio by a battle in which they would play "2K". Mecrcutio will lose and get a hart attack from the score and then Romeo will rebottle him in Fifa 18 and wean, but the way Tybalt will die is by Xbox cable that will touch water and will electrically shock Tybalt. The tone of the scene will be comedic. The setting of the adaptation will be none of which are listed, I created my own so the seen will be on the Island. I will stage this scene out side, probably on the turf. Costumes that I will use in this seen will be something like hippy style, maybe yellow glasses swimming suits and flip flaps. lightning will be bright, the day will be sunny. Music that will play is from our generation " pop culture". I think my idea of adopted scene will be interesting to produce and to present, because the plot of this scene is characters playing video games and dining from unreal things. Also this version is comedically structured. 

New version : Overview : Imagine the death scenes in the original play, than amp the exaggeration up by 100x to see what we will have in store in our short film. Romeo and Mercutio will start out in their sacred room. They will be debating about going to the party or not. They will ultimately decide to go to the Capulet party. Romeo meets Juliet and they make love. Tybalt will oversee this and follow the two back to the sacred room of Montague. Tybalt will then challenge Romeo to a game of NBA 2k18 on the XBOX. Romeo will deny. Then Mercurio will jump at the opportunity to play him. Tybalt will crush Mercurio in the video game until Mercurio dies of a heart attack. Romeo will avenge Mercutio by beating Tybalt equally as bad in FIFA. At the end of the game, Tybalt will be furious and accuse Romeo of cheating. He will then come at Romeo, but Romeo will respond by throwing acid on Tybalt ultimately burning him alive. This is how the movie will end.

Mercutio - bro we gotta go to that party that Capulet is having.

Romeo - nah bro I’m not feeling like going to the party bro, it’s been tough time with me and Rosaline bro, i just want to chill and relax bro

Mercutio - bro you need to get over Rosaline there’s plenty of fish in the sea I'll be sure to save you some bro

Romeo - bro no I just can’t

Mercutio - bro don’t be ‘stupid’ let’s have fun bro

Romeo -  bro but how we gonna get there tho

Mercutio -  watch me bro

(Scene end)

( Scene stars, Party Scene, different location, another room in VDP camera is in the party room focused on the door. Mercutio and Romeo sneak into the party, cut scene of two hours later, Romeo leaves the party with Juliet)

Tybalt -  Capulet look it’s Romeo kissing  my girlfriend Juliet, and leading her into the bedroom. I will go kill him bro  

(Tybalt leaves the party)

(2 Hrs, later Romeo heads back into the sacred room while Mercutio is playing 2K)

Romeo: bro I just hooked up with Juliet. It was sweet bro

Mercutio: Brooo that is sweet, I bet that took your mind right off Rosaline bro

(Someone bangs on the door, Tybalt barges in)

Tybalt: Romeo you had relations with my girl bro!!! I challenge you to a game bro.

Romeo: bro  what are you doing in my family's sacred room you can't be in here bro your a Capulet?

Tybalt: bro, I go where I please bro. Now play me in 2k bro

Romeo: nah bro I'm good bro,

Tybalt: ahh I shall take out my anger by playing Mercutio bro

Mercutio: Give me your worst bro

Tybalt: Oh bro, you have no idea my bro

(They start playing 2k, cutscene to the end score of the game, Mercutio starts getting chest pain and dies of a heart attack)

Mercutio: My heart bro, I can't take the beating bro

Tybalt: Yeaaaaaaaaah boy take it innnnnnn broski

Romeo: you just killed my bro, I will now destroy you in FIFA bro

Tybalt: yessssss this is what I've wanted all along bro. The chance to kill you bro

( Cut Scene to score of FIFA, Romeo destroyed Tybalt in FIFA)

Romeo: ha! Bro you lost, Yeaaaaaaaaah boyyyy take it innnnnnn

Tybalt: Bro that wasn't fair, I totally won bro. you were probably on rookie mode bro

Romeo: I was not bro

Tybalt: bro I am still gonna kill you bro

Romeo: Oh bro no you aren’t bro

(Romeo gets out of his seat and throws acid on Tybalt. Tybalt burns alive)

Tybalt; Ahhhhhhhhh bro  Ahhh!, It Burns, I'm on fire eeeeeeeeeeeee bro Ahhhhhhhhhhh bro bro bro bro bro)
