possible seans


  • Defiantly I would want to explore more about the relationship that Tom and Laura have. The way Tom takes care of Laura and pretends that nothing is wrong with her. How Laura takes care of her brother and stands for his right to make his own division and to make his own career by being independent. 
  • Second possible sean could be the fact that Tom leaves every time to go to the "movies"- by that he means bars. Why he does it? what is he hiding from/who? 
  • The third possible sean is the fights that Tom and Amanda get into every time Amanda doesn't like something. The way she is acting and being disrespectful in terms of Toms life and future career. How Tom pretends that wants to stay in the household but in reality, the only thing he wants is to leave and to start his own life/career. 
  • The fourth possible sean would be the act where Tome comes back from a performance from being drunk and Laura from being stressed and scared comes herself down and starts aking him where has he been and why is he drunk. He starts talking about a magician that he saw in the park and the magic tricks that he was doing in the park and how it impressed him. What impressed me by that act is the way he was doing that; he did it with love and understanding because he knows that in Laura situation the more you speak about outside world he could lead her to the path of recovering from her injuries and start from the beginning.  
  • The final possible seans are the beginning and the ending of the play. The way they separate two different timelines and then combine them that's what really impressed me and brought me to the point of being interested in this play. Those two seans showed me the interpretation of Tom's feeling in the beginning and the end of the play.

Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. The story that includes many characters and their struggle throughout the Story. "Caroline's Wedding" contains 3 main characters; the narrator Grace, older sister Caroline, and their mother Hermine. Each character has her own obstacle to get through.  The story begins with Grace receiving good news from the embassy, saying that she received U.S citizenship. She immediately called her mother and sister and shared the good news.
