Scene proposals due by midnight. Discuss the scene, why it interests you, what character you'll play & why (& how it will challenge you as an actor), the importance of this scene in play & what literary analysis you hope to explore

 The scene that we chose is the scene where Tom and Amanda get into a big fight over something that doesn't really matter, but at the end reflects on Laura. Everything starts with Amanda giving Tom an advice on how he should hold his back while he's writing, Tom gets offended and starts arguing with her about how she gets in his way a distracts him from his work. Amanda screams at him that he can't stay out late at night and still do a good day's work. Tom reminds her how much he hates his job at the warehouse. He tries to put his coat on but he can’t and so his clumsy attempts brings him to a position where he throws it to the other side of the room, where it hits Laura’s glass menagerie, her collection of glass animals that means the most to his sister Laura. Glass breaks, and Laura starts crying .
    This scene impressed me by showing the result of a little fight between two family members, that in conclusion brought anger and disappointment. The decision to choose this scene was made only because of the challenges that this scene contains. One of the challenges that decided to take was the character who I’m going to play “ Amanda “ the first obvious challenge in this character is to obtain her personality as a woman, so I have to study her character and deliver her character to the audience. Ivan Kapkov IB Literature & Performance Ms. Guarino Review  “The Caucasian Chalk Circle” On Friday 11/11/17 I visited a play that was adapted by my classmates. The name of the play is “The Caucasian Chalk Circle” by Bertolt Brecht written in 1944 while he was living in America. Interesting fact about the performance is that it was initially made for Broadway, but the play didn’t go that far so students started presenting it in their schools and colleges. The play was initially translated by Eric Bentley. This play is based on the aftermath of WWII, in which the “villagers” are complaining on who will control the valley . This play focuses on an act of true love and courage performed by a servant girl named Grusha Vachnadze and how she is judged by society regarding to her choices. Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. However, the people in her village don’t think it's the right idea. Chapter 7 : This chapter starts with prayers that Desiree send to Gods. "Caroline's Wedding"

The story that includes many characters and their struggle throughout the Story. "Caroline's Wedding" contains 3 main characters; the narrator Grace, older sister Caroline, and their mother Hermine. Each character has her own obstacle to get through.  The story begins with Grace receiving good news from the embassy, saying that she received U.S citizenship. She immediately called her mother and sister and shared the good news. Her mother told her immediately to make an appointment at the embassy and get her documents and her passport so that she can leave the country as soon as possible.  However, their family always had an issue with their paper works and documents.    On behave of the paper works and preparation to leave her home to porsue her future life and career, she has to stened between her mother and sisire becausethe get into fights/disagreements.
