“Seize the Day” a poem that was written by the author named Judith Ortiz. Judith by writing this poem tried to fulfil the community with something that will describe the meaning of time that we have and how we should enjoy and respects the moments that have happened to us or going to.  In my understanding Judith idea of naming this poem “Seize the Day” creates a specific subject and tells us to make the most of the present because what happened at this moment might never happen again. No matter how big or small your goal in life is - for example, whether it’s a music that you want to create for your own album or building a school project everything will start with you making the first step. Everybody starts small and then they see the result; there’s no better way to seize the day than doing it now, right where you are and stay and enjoy this moment for as long as you can. Judith has multiple lines in her poem that describes the position that I brought in the last sentence for example “ Remember to wake up early and take your time in rising, Enter the world refreshed by the hope emitted by each atom of light “ those lines are the definition of timing and those little moments that always happed but each time in a different way. Seize the day do not simply mean to have an opportunity in the present, it also means that you have to let of the past good or bad because it already happened so you have to move on and enjoy what will happen with your life when you make that next step. Seize the day is the acknowledge over something that you could've done but it’s time to get over just let it go and move on. All of us make mistakes and we just lose our time regretting it and it gets us into depression when all that we have to do is move on and create us an environment that will be comfortable. The second combination of lines that I could relate to part of my own life is “ Love your work, and enjoy the play. Remember, there is little lasting joy in things done only for gold of fame.” what in my opinion means that joy comes from what you conquered throughout the time not for glory or fame just for yourself. Throughout reading this poem I understood the full meaning after reading it a multiple times on my own and what I got from it is that you have to take an opportunity of something in present without thinking what will happen in the future, we live once so why not? We try we experience we learn and achieve. Your main priority is to succeed in whatever you want and love, there will be many obstacles in that journey however love and respect those moments because how hard you will work they will never be the same.
