This is just to say.

  • After reading this poem the first thing that u notice is that it doesn't make any sense. However, the rhyme in this poem makes u concentrate and observe the poem. 
  • The way author expresses himself makes us think that that plum was one of the biggest things that have ever happened to him. 
  • Story-wise, it's hard to say that the meaning is confusing because he talks about plums that he ate but at the same time it doesn't make any sense.  
  • This poem gives a good visual picture that shows that the poem was written not for vibe rhythm or strong language, but for imagination purposes. 
  • By the name of the poem " This is just to say. " we can predict that this poem wasn't written to impress someone it was written just because.

The name of the play is “The Caucasian Chalk Circle” by Bertolt Brecht written in 1944 while he was living in America. Interesting fact about the performance is that it was initially made for Broadway, but the play didn’t go that far so students started presenting it in their schools and colleges. The play was initially translated by Eric Bentley. This play is based on the aftermath of WWII, in which the “villagers” are complaining on who will control the valley . Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. The story that includes many characters and their struggle throughout the Story. "Caroline's Wedding" contains 3 main characters; the narrator Grace, older sister Caroline, and their mother Hermine. Each character has her own obstacle to get through.  The story begins with Grace receiving good news from the embassy, saying that she received U.S citizenship. She immediately called her mother and sister and shared the good news.
