This is just to say.

  • After reading this poem the first thing that u notice is that it doesn't make any sense. However, the rhyme in this poem makes u concentrate and observe the poem. 
  • The way author expresses himself makes us think that that plum was one of the biggest things that have ever happened to him. 
  • Story-wise, it's hard to say that the meaning is confusing because he talks about plums that he ate but at the same time it doesn't make any sense.  
  • This poem gives a good visual picture that shows that the poem was written not for vibe rhythm or strong language, but for imagination purposes. 
  • By the name of the poem " This is just to say. " we can predict that this poem wasn't written to impress someone it was written just because.

The name of the play is “The Caucasian Chalk Circle” by Bertolt Brecht written in 1944 while he was living in America. Interesting fact about the performance is that it was initially made for Broadway, but the play didn’t go that far so students started presenting it in their schools and colleges. The play was initially translated by Eric Bentley. This play is based on the aftermath of WWII, in which the “villagers” are complaining on who will control the valley . Les Miserables musical review

Ivan Kapkov IB Literature & Performance Ms. Guarino Les Miserables Last Friday 18/02/23I attended a musical Les Miserables performed in Black Box by students in my school. Les Misérables, or better known as Les Mis, is a musical based on the novel of the same name by French poet and playwright, Victor Hugo. The plot of this musical is based on a story of convict Jean Valjean who was released from a French prison after serving nineteen years for stealing and attending to escape prison. After Valjean get released from prison his many obstacles on his way those contain finding jobs and place to stay: however,  no one is willing to give him shelter because he is an ex-convict. Valjean finds a church where the kindly bishop of Digne. Myriel treats Valjean with kindness, and Valjean repays the bishop by stealing his silverware. Edwidge Danticat was born on January 19, 1969, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
