Diane Ackerman "feedback"

From reading the first two poems we can define the specificity and creativity of writing that the writer Diane Ackerman provides us with. Her style of writing is very different from the rest writers and poets that I had rad a learned before. Diane Ackerman uses multiple metaphors that expense the perspective of her thinking and our understanding, for example:  " As our metal eyes wake
to absolute night ", "With our scurrying minds " metaphors like those really get us to think and observe the poem what makes it more entertaining.  Her lyrics transform into a bigger meaning throughout the story or a poem, creating a background opinion and shared experience. The seed " main idea " opens up throughout the poem. By reading her writing I could define the creative writing and joy that she gets from writing poems and short stories.

Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. "Caroline's Wedding"

The story that includes many characters and their struggle throughout the Story. "Caroline's Wedding" contains 3 main characters; the narrator Grace, older sister Caroline, and their mother Hermine. Each character has her own obstacle to get through.  The story begins with Grace receiving good news from the embassy, saying that she received U.S citizenship. She immediately called her mother and sister and shared the good news. Her mother told her immediately to make an appointment at the embassy and get her documents and her passport so that she can leave the country as soon as possible.  However, their family always had an issue with their paper works and documents.    On behave of the paper works and preparation to leave her home to porsue her future life and career, she has to stened between her mother and sisire becausethe get into fights/disagreements.
