Jealousy/ misunderstanding " in-class writing"

Misunderstanding- between mother and older daughter Caroline. Mother does not approve her choice in terms of getting married and to who she is getting married. Her mother thinks that she can do much better, and get a  husband who can provide for the family and maintain stability. Caroline stops caring about her mother's opinion towards the end of the story, however, she was still affected by her mothers' comments. Their mother wants both sisters to wear the same dress, whether as, Caroline and Grace are grown-ups and they make their own decisions.

Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. The story that includes many characters and their struggle throughout the Story. "Caroline's Wedding" contains 3 main characters; the narrator Grace, older sister Caroline, and their mother Hermine. Each character has her own obstacle to get through.  The story begins with Grace receiving good news from the embassy, saying that she received U.S citizenship. She immediately called her mother and sister and shared the good news.
