Uta Hagen’s Nine Questions
1. Who am I? Who is your character?
The character who I'm going to perform and introduce to the audience is the Devil. A character who only tries to help mother but at the same time doing a favour for himself. He is a Satana a religious character, who could possibly be over a thousand years old. He is tall, has a dark soul/personality. He doesn't feer of anything besides losing his powers.

1. Who am I? Who is your character?
The character who I'm going to perform and introduce to the audience is the Devil. A character who only tries to help mother but at the same time doing a favour for himself. He is a Satana a religious character, who could possibly be over a thousand years old. He is tall, has a dark soul/personality. He doesn't feer of anything besides losing his powers.
2. What time is it?
This story comes to form the perspective of people from the 21 century. It's a night time, winter 12:30.
3. Where am I?
The story comes from a small country called Haiti. Our performance is placed in a small apartment with only one room that is divided into two. There will be two beds, one curtain that divides two sides, a desk/table, and a mirror.
4. What surrounds me? What is happening in the environment around you?
It's a hot night out, it's midnight so it's already dark and the only thing that brings the light to the city is the. moon and the lights. There are 4 main characters, however, besides that, there are second roles like a client and people outside of the house.
5. What are the given circumstances?
Mother has to make a decision whether open the door for her client and continue her life as a prostitution, and there are two mystical characters ( Angel, and Devil) who. are sharing their thoughts with her and trying to help her make a decision. This performance is based on the future of women with a kid who is trying to do anything in order to provide her son with safety, comfort, and education.
4. What surrounds me? What is happening in the environment around you?

In this specific story circumstances, Devil is the type of character who's trying to help other characters, however, his evil side won't let him; and by helping the mother to make a decision. His purpose is to harm people and their lives, however, in this particular story, he really thinks that his advice is the right one to listen to, and he lets everybody knows that he will do anything in order to help night women and her decisions.
7. What do I want? What do you want immediately? What does the character want overall?
Devil is a type of character who has a big ego, and who always think about himself rather than others. This play will show how his personality changes in order to help the mother to make the right decision, and still thought out the performance we would be able to see little nuances where Devil will act out and make fun of the Angel and all he sais.
8. What is in my way? What are the obstacles to getting what you want?
My characters obstacle in this story is the opposite version of himself, that would be the angel who they're arguing with. Besides, that nothing will or can stop him from delivering his point of view and convincing the mother to do as he sais.
9. What do I do to get what I want? What actions do you take (both physically and verbally)? What tactics?
The porpoise of his dialogue is to convince the night women to continue her life as a prostitute in order to maintain stability deliver financial support to her son. Scene two of our performance is based on the dialogue between three characters where there is an obvious conflict between Devil and the Angel which won't be resolved unless night women make a decision. There are no physical scenes in this performance, everything is regulated arouned dialogues and way of expressing characters and their personalities. The main tacting in the process of convincing the night women is to show her that she should listen to him by not letting the Angel to participate in and make his point.
