Footloose.
Last Wednesday our school's varsity performance had a fantastic performance called “ Footloose “at the black box theatre. This performance was based on a musical base which made gave the play a better stained and style. This exceptional performance was performed and created by a fantastic cast that was based on Cheshire Academy students. Big thanks go to the case on Froot Loops: Tony Way. Olivia Williams, Aaron Lou,Jenna Denomme, Cassidy Minal, Mao Inoue,Amelia Williams, Carolin Fishbein, Ray Done, Stella Chen,Grace Sun, Helen Zhene,Nate Biller, Julia Shatava, Trevor Hampson, Elena Parkerson,Sandra Maina, Jenna Purslow, Maddie Silano, Brooklyn Walsh, William Lemoine, Linda Li,Pacifica Yane,Haditha Bella, Nicholas Carpenter, Martina LI. Ruth Berganross, Jane Golden, Peiran Li.
Froot Loop is a story by McCormick; it’s a story about a teenager who lived in Chicago for the whole of his life. Throughout his life, he and his mother moved to a small Town of Bomont after their father left them. After arriving at the small town, he gets to a good relationship with his Nabors, including Reverend Bomon himself. What he is not prepared for is the local laws - including a ban on dancing - which are the brainchild of a local preacher bent on exercising control over the town's youths. .The central conflict of the story is based towns outlaw of dancing with. At school, Ren discovers an unlikely friend in Willard Hewitt and Reverend's daughter Aerial they protest and try to convince the Reverend to let teenagers dance and have fun. The second conflict of the story is based on Rivalry between two boys Ren andAriel's ex-boyfriend. The conflict was based on the attention and love that Ariela was shown to Rent which disrupted her ex-boyfriend and made him sabotage Ren's reputation, and due to his reputation as the new kid, people started believing all the negative accusations from the past. This specific performance was based on the emotions of the actor throughout all the acts, and they deliver interesting and energising content which allows the audience to enjoy the act and performance by the actors. The director of the play, in my opinion, had a specific interest in delivering an idea of producing the emotion throughout the play with positive energy.
Throughout the performance director and the cast managed to provide the audience with a variety of props and staging changes what brought much excitement on people's faces. The decision that production makers made was genuinely intense and exciting, they delivered a lot of positive and energetic energy to the room. By delivering such a great combination of colours, they made the play look much better and entertaining to watch. In my opinion, every single actor delivered his/ her side of the story, and all of them were spectacular. However, there were two specific characters to whom the attention of the audience was explicitly sure, they were “Tony Wang” “ Ren McCormack” and Aaron Luo “ Rev. Shaw Moore. Ren played a significant role in the performance as the main character and a freshman and first-year performer he delivered everything that he could, and he did well. Aaron on the other hand with a strong prospect of performance, skills, and talent performed his live show in Cheshire Academy, and throughout the performance showed the audience not only his talent he also showed us how much he progressed throughout his career as an actor at CA.
The actor who impressed me the most was Tony Wayne who played the leading role in the performance as “ Ren McCormack. The reason he impressed me that much is that as a freshman and as a first-year performer he developed multiple skills that he maintained and deliver to us at the show. Moreover, it was his first performance as varsity actors what impresses me the most. The product that he delivered was an example of hard work and practice, show with such a high capacity of songs and other actors whom all depend on each other is shows the hard work that Tony put in his character and his skill development as a whole.
When I was sitting and waiting for the performance, I did not know what will be performed, and in what form, due to my miss knowledge of this play, I did not know what it would be about. However, when I heard the music playing and music playing I realised that this show would deliver gratitude of emotions and well it did. Throughout the time I have been attending Cheshire Academy based performance, I have never seen a performance that contained so many actors and was so colourful. The story was presented in Musical genre what got me excited and developed a story and made it even more interesting to watch. This performance was indeed an art and was very creative such as I have never seen before and big thanks to the cast and directors for creating such a product.
