Naomi Shihab. In my opinion is very talented and creative artists that create art by expressing her emotions and feelings on the paper, and providing the rest of the world with interesting thoughts and ideas. She contributes her poems to her vision of the outside world including things like politics, race, nationality, and family. From my understanding Shihad connects ger poems with each other by including certain words and lines in more than one of her poems; for example " My father and the fig tree" and " Blood " in both of those poems she talks about her father. She also has two poems that talk about her grandmother " The Words Under the Words " and "My Grandmother in the stars " by looking and those two examples we can see how dedicated Shihab is to her family and how much time she spends thinking about them.
