Our assignment was to pick 10 characters from the play and create virtual stats in the manner of objects, that will show characters characteristics. My group decided to cast Rome ( Rose ), Julieta ( wedding ring), Friar Lawrence ( Bible or Cross), Tybalt ( black or red sword ), Nurse (big heart ), Mercutio ( yellow sword ), Lady Capulet ( high heels ), Lord Capulet ( pinky ring 100k), Prince  ( Crown ), Paric ( Mirror ). Romeos rose means love and blood that he has and gave to Julieta. The way Rome will use rose is by giving his heart and blood for Julieta. Julieta and the wedding ring represents love and loyalty to Romeo. Julieta’s ring means love to Rome and the fact that she belongs only to him. There is no one to blame, because everyone is fighting for their family rights and no one will stop until both families will accomplish peace between each other. You can't blame anyone for Marcitios death because he wanted to be a part of this fight and he was fighting fro his friend Rome who couldn't defend him self, we can't blain anyone for Romeos and Juliet's death because they made the decision to marry. Tonight 10/12/2017 I experienced the classic film Les Miserables, directed by Tom Hooper , starring Russell Crowe as Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Daniel Huttlestone as Gavroche, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, and Eddie Redmayne as Marius. The film is based on the story by Victor Hugo which takes place in France during the French revolution. When the film starts the main character, Jean Valjean, is a slave and a thief. He steals something for his family and he becomes a slave for several years. After the fact, he ends up in a Church under the care of a priest. The Priest helps him to find a new way of life and eventually he becomes a successful businessman. Later in life he again meets Javert, who used to be his prison guard. Jean Valjean recognises him, but Javert doesn't because of how much he changed. Valjean's worker, Fantine, is fired and can’t send ...

Ivan Kapkov IB literature & performance Mrs. Guarino In Act 3 Scene 1 who is really responsible for Mercutio’s death: Mercutio, who provoked the fight, Tybalt who stabbed him, or Romeo who got between them? Use specific evidence (direct quotes) from the play to back this up. How would you stage this as a director? Be specific. In Act 3 scene 1 Romeo’s best friend got killed by Tybalt’s hand. It’s hard to say who was responsible for Mercutio's death because Tybalt was the one who provoked Tybalt to fight, but it wasn't Mercutio's fight so he shouldn't've been there at all. Everything started with Tybalt asking Mercutio and his crew about Romeo. Mercutio as leader stood up and took advantage of being naive and started being aggressive and disrespectful to Tybalt who did the same thing.  When Romeo arrives Tybalt switched his attention from Mercutio to Romeo, he started verbally attacking Rome saying how he disrespected them by coming to the party. Act 1 scene 1 Play starts with two severance of Capulets house Sampson and Gregory that are walking around streets of Verona. They meet two service of Montague house men and woman, and having a discussion about their looks. The main purpose of this conversation is to provoke the to a fight. Sampson manages to do it by biting his thumb at Montages. Tybalt a kinsmen of Capulets sees Benvolio drawing his sword out so he does the same. Benvolio trying to keep the peace but Tybalt because of his hate to Montague attacks. The only thing that can stop their fight is someone who is powerful enough in this case it's Prince. Scene 2 Starts with Capulet having a conversation with Paris about him marring his daughter Juliet. Capulet explains the reason why he can't have her marry Paris at that moment because she is not yet 14. But he reassures Paris that he is the one she will marry in future. Play Romeo & Julieta based on the war between two families, where everyone is fighting for their rights or because of their nature. This play doesn't show who is right or wrong, because people from both families hate each other or just want to kill each other no matter what. The only three people in this play who doesn't want it is Rome, Julieta and Frear Lawrens the priest. Friar Laurence is  priest he is a holy man who is trusted and respected by both families and Romeo and Juliet . The Friar's role in this play is to be a friend and advisor to both Romeo and Juliet and to break the conflict between both families. In my opinion I think that Friar Lawrence in some way is a piece maker and at the same time I disagree with that statement.   Friar Lawrence fighting on both sides because he wants peace in both families that was the reason he agreed to marry R...

Ivan Kapkov IB Literature & Performance Mrs. Guarino Montagues and Capulets considered as enemies and you can see that through the play and through  watching the movie. In the book author gives us the background of their family past. The way both families hated each other and how both couldn't stand each other. In movie everything is different because everything is colorful and you can visually see the differences between both families. In the movie director presented to families by showing their personalis, culture and independance. Montague is more like :bright colors, color shirts, yellow car, funny hair, crazy and comedic. Capulets are more aggressive, darker colors, formal, dark hair, serious, Latino and treating. If I had an opportunity to show their characteristics in this play I wouldn't change the colors that they're wearing or their nature. What I would do is I would bring more aggression, like more fighting scenes or rivalry conflicts. To show their...
