Read poems and post notes by class time

Two poems that I really enjoyed reading were  “Hope” and " Tell all the truth but tell it  to slant" written by Emily Dickinson. The reason I choose both of those poems is due to the rhythm that both of them maintained. " Tell all the truth but tell it  to slant" a poem that I really enjoyed reading because of the connection that I saw with the life of a regular person. ' Hopen" is a poem that describes the meaning of this word in a very unique and philosophical way.  Both poems gave me joy while reading them and gave me something to think about and get dipper into the thoughts of Emily Dickinson.

3 questions in class work

1. Select a passage from a novel you have chosen to study where a change of atmosphere impacts on the characters and the course of events. By paying due attention to the context of the passage, show how such a passage might be dramatised for an audience.   The most significant impact on the story played a simple three which stopped Daniel from going further, and what brought both of those characters together. The change of atmosphere in this question for me means the transformation of the weather or environment. Due to the idea that Daniel was from another part of the island, he didn’t know the roads and the location, what played a significant role on his driving and might've been the reason for the accident. In my opinion, the crash impacts both the characters and the course of events. If the accident didn’t happen, there would be a small possibility that Desiree would ever meet Daniel, and would move to the other side of the island. If the accident didn’t happen she would see ...

Outline - 1 question

1. Select a passage from the novel you have chosen to study and, showing how the mood and atmosphere is evoked in the passage, explain in detail how you would create this mood and atmosphere in performance for an audience. Use the same staging dynamics that author uses in the book, because in my opinion by showing the dirt, aggression, sovereign, and absence of respect and appreciation I can deliver the main plot and content of this specific scene. In my preference, my main objective would be to make the audience feel the energy of the play and the environment that all of those characters were in during the scene. A scene like that has to be shown with the best product possible to include all the little details and emotions from the passage. Throughout the scene, I would like to have a screen on in the front of the characters that show the rain, mud and the [backgrounded of the castle; in addition to that, I would include the sound of the storm. In preference and if possible I w...

Directors Vision

What would you focus on ? If I was to present and recreate this story on the theater stage, my main focus would be maintained on the description of different environment in terms of the sides of ( the peasants village and the town of rich people). However, the main focus would be pointed towards the characters themselves, including the costumes, artistic work( emotions, facial emotions/representation). Overall production: Recreation such a significant story would take time and space , I would most likely use the same staging dynamics that author uses in the book, because in my opinion by showing the environment, love, hate, aggression, sovereign, and other significant emotions and appreciation I can deliver the main plot and content of this story. In my preference, my main objective would be to make the audience feel the energy of the play and the environment that all of those characters were in during the scene.

Staging the last scene

Unfortunately has a shocking ending unlikely the rest of the stories we read. The main character Desiree dies in the end due to the unappreciation and disrespect for people she trusted and a man she loved. This story contains a particular and outrageous content which engaged me throughout the story. The passage that affected my perspective and my view on the characters was the last passage, which described the corps of Desiree was laying in the dirt. “ Picking corps by an arm and leg, he dumped it at the side of the road to await the garbage collectors. Moreover, Monsieur Gabriel’s limousine drove on through the gate. The promised storm broke with a vengeance. Its roar trembled the entire island. The first two drops of rain that fell on the closed eyes of the little peasant girl. They resemble tears”. I choose both of those passages as a result of twain feelings despair and euphoria in terms of depression of the complete loss and absence of hope for Desiree. However rapture in terms o...

However, Daniels mother and the nurse are against her and tell her to leave. Daniel is protecting Desiree and is ready to tell his father about her when she comes back. Throughout the process, Daniel keeps getting healthier, and their relationship with Desiree gets stronger. When Daniel gets better, the nurse tells Desiree that it’s time for her to go due to Daniels government. Daniel ones again protect her and say to the nurse that Desiree is staying with him. Chapter 13 This chapter starts off with Daniels idea to throw a homecoming party for his father which will return soon. The day his father arrives, the party is ready, and everyone goes well; Desiree is wearing a beautiful white dress, and she is enjoying the party all the people,  which led Daniel to finally announce who Desiree was to him. Blog post. 500 words.

My Love My Love or a peasant girl is a story based on people whose beliefs focused on the polytheistic belief a religion in which people rely and suppose on multiple gods. Each chapter in this book contains specific parts where they mansion the Gods; however, so far there was only one chapter which gave a full description of four gods; specifically chapter eight passage six. In this chapter, Desiree ran away from home to find Daniel who lives in a completely different environment in part of the rich island in Beauxhommes. On the way there she fell asleep and dreamed of all for Gods. The moment Desiree fell asleep, she started dreaming about gods. “ Agwe - tall, beautiful, his high head of the richest blue, green seaweed decorated in gold- strutted back and forth as he had in the houngfor, his wicked eyes a blazing blue. The arrogance with which he threw back his head.”  “Asaka sat sulking, looking drab and ragged in a brown dress. Erzulie, forever lovely, paraded her self so...

Chapter 8-10

Chapter 8 starts with Desiree making her decision and running away from her village and becoming free and starting her life over again. However, running away from anyone's promotion is a risk, and she fears that if someone realises soon enough, they will catch her and break her dream of living life like wealthy people. Before leaving Desiree asked people how far is the place where she has to go to find Daniel, and people told her that the position she is looking for is now and did not suggest her going there. However, some people helped her out by giving food and motivated her to follow her dreams. The reason she ran away is to find her first love Daniel who was taken from her by his father. Chapter 9, in my opinion, was the most entertaining and interesting, after walking for seven days she finally saw the sea and feels great and calm because the God of water is right next to her. From being in that environment, Desiree begins to think about her past, future, and life in total. ...

Ch 6/7

Chapter 6 starts with the description of the environment, and the growth of the seeds after the storm season which brought a large amount of rain on to the island. Later in the chapter, we can witness the conversation that Desiree is having with Tonton. That conversation shows the reader the conflict and the difference between the poor and the rich. Their conversation is mainly focused on Tonto describing his hometown Monsieur beau home. After listening to Tonto for a long time and hearing all those tempting things about Monsieur beau home, she is desperate to leave her village and see new opportunities and new life. However, the people in her village don’t think it's the right idea. Chapter 7 : This chapter starts with prayers that Desiree send to Gods. Desiree's biggest desire is to run away and to start her life over again, after talking to Tonto she wants a new life for herself and new adventures After the conversation between Tonto and Mama Euralie the only thing ...

Twelfth Night Play Review

On Wednesday 3/04/2019 Cheshire Academy students from the department of English and Art science had an opportunity to visit Yale School of Drama at Repertory theatre, where we watched a play called Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. This excellent production was formed by James Bundy who is the Artistic Director. This play had many great performers and actors that revealed the plot and the pure soul of the play. Since the play was transformed into something modern and very creative, the actors performed their roles in the best way they could. My applause goes to : Abubakr Ali ( Sir Andrew Aguecheek), Erron Crawford ( Feste ), William DeMeritt (  Orsino ), Denzel Fields ( Ensemble ), Allen Gilmore ( Malvolio ), Tiffany Denise Hobbs ( Olivia ), Moses Ingram ( Viola ), Wesley T, Jones ( Ensemble), Manu Kumasi ( Antonio ), Chivas Michael ( Sir Toby ), Ilia Isorelys Paulino ( Maria ), Stephon Pettway ( Ensemble ), and others. Twelfth Night is a story based on love and happiness,...
